This is one of the nicest real antique trunks you are going to find. This trunk is all original with no repairs of any kind. There are only two imperfections on this trunk worth mentioning. The first is the broken leather handle on the trunk's right hand end. The other you won't notice until you look at the close-up picture of the left center of the front, a small dent half way up. Of course, it is going to have all of the normal wear and tear you would expect on a trunk 100 plus years old. Both front latches work fine and the center lock would too if you had a key; we don't. Both hinges are in good working order and so are all four original rollers on the bottom. Inside the trunk, the lift-out tray is in great shape and still has its original cloth lift-out strap at the end. The door to the lid compartment (the oxen picture) is still there and is still attached at the bottom with the original paper lining. Most of these trunks we find have the cloth hinge broken off. The trunk measures about 30" long including the handles. It is about 17" wide and 20 1/2" high.
