This is a very old antique lantern. It was made by the Buhl Hardware Co. of Detroit, Michigan. It is marked "Conquest". It is 14" tall not including the handle. You can see in the pictures there is one small dent just below the "Conquest" marking. The bottom picture shows where it has rusted through in two spots. One picture shows a hole in the top that came from the factory. This was from the stamping of the metal and was usually soldered over like the other corners. You can also see most of the metal is very smooth. The bonnet over the globe shows a little slight pitting. This lantern had a bad heavy coat of black paint on it. So, I've bead blasted it clean and it's ready for a good paint job. I've shown a picture of the globe so you can see the heat checks, or whatever they are, in the bottom of it. They are not cracks all the way through. You can feel them on the outside only.
